I couldn&#8217;t have been more wrong<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was empowering, I leant that I had so many choices. Birth wasn&#8217;t any longer something that just happened to you. After Nancy&#8217;s course I felt like I had options and I could help my partner get the birth she wanted and also the birth I didn&#8217;t know i had also wanted. Nancy really helped create a non judgmental space where I was free to learn and unlearn. There was so many really worth peices of information that really helped me feel informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I actually thought it was going to be nonsense, and I&#8217;m so happy that I couldn&#8217;t of been more wrong!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the course I felt ready to take on more responsibility as a birth partner, ready to be more reliable. I found that I was fascinated by the world of birthing and angry that we have moved into such a weird medicated version of something so natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pragmatic approach taught on the course allowed me to stay much more calm. I implemented the B.R.A.I.N acronym as soon as the midwife told me she wanted to take my partner into the hospital, and although I felt out of my depth and scared, just knowing that I could ask more questions and challenge opinions made me feel so much more in control and calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nancy really really helped us, and I know that without her it would have been a much different birth. I&#8217;m really grateful to have met her and her super inquisitive mind \ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I actually thought it was going to be nonsense.
